Cooperation Agreement between the Amir Kabir Foundation (Dr. Hassan Habibi House Museum) and the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran
A cooperation agreement was signed between the Amir Kabir Foundation and the National Library and Archives of Iran to establish scientific, research, and educational collaboration, as well as the sharing of informational resources and expertise.
According to the Public Relations Office of the National Library and Archives of Iran, Alireza Mokhtarpour, the head of the National Library and Archives, visited the Amir Kabir Foundation and Dr. Hassan Habibi House Museum and signed the cooperation agreement with the foundation’s director.
The agreement includes mutual utilization of informational resources, research capacities, and opportunities for joint projects and study programs. It also covers organizing exhibitions, conferences, meetings, workshops, training courses, and providing information on assemblies, critical sessions, and specialized seminars. The agreement further facilitates the exchange and donation of physical or digital copies of resources to enrich each other’s collections, granting access to the National Library and Archives of Iran to Amir Kabir Foundation’s databases, and the use of scientific materials such as books, journals, and other scholarly documents while respecting the intellectual property rights of the owners.
Other clauses include authoring books, publishing journals, conducting joint research projects, exchanging and creating databases, and cooperating in publishing catalogs of manuscripts, rare books, and collections of the Amir Kabir Foundation.
Additionally, the agreement stipulates that the National Library and Archives will perform environmental monitoring of the foundation’s archives, collections of rare books, manuscripts, and lithographs, provide educational services, and offer consulting for cataloging and digitizing printed books, manuscripts, lithographs, documents, and magazines held in the foundation’s libraries, based on necessary expert assessments.
The Amir Kabir Foundation committed to delivering a digital copy of its past and current research projects and publications, providing two copies of published books to the National Library as per legal deposit regulations, utilizing technical equipment for digitizing resources, and transferring duplicate and surplus materials to the National Library in compliance with exchange and donation protocols.
Present at the signing ceremony were Alireza Mokhtarpour, head of the National Library and Archives of Iran; Shafigha Raheedeh, director of the Amir Kabir Foundation and Dr. Hassan Habibi House Museum; Mohammad Javad Jafarian, Deputy of National Archives; Esmat Momeni, Deputy of the National Library; Ali Ashourlou and Mojtaba Saharkarha, advisors to the head of the National Library; and Mohammad Hadi Naseri Taheri, Director General of the Office of the President, Public Relations, and International Affairs of the National Library and Archives.
